Precautions

• Inform your doctor if you are hypersensitive to Rivotril or if you have other allergies before taking Rivotril. Inactive chemicals in this medicine may trigger allergic responses or other complications. For more information, consult your doctor.
• Before taking Rivotril, speak to your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have: a specific eye condition (narrow angle glaucoma), kidney disorders (like kidney stones), liver disorders, mental issues (such as depression, suicidal thoughts), lung/breathing disorders, a specific metabolic imbalance (metabolic acidosis), a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet (ketogenic diet), long term diarrhea, weak bones (osteoporosis).
• Rivotril may cause you to sweat less, increasing your risk of heat stroke. Avoid activities that may allow you to overheat, like strenuous labor or exercising in hot weather, as well as using hot bathtubs. Drink plenty of drinks and dress lightly when the temperature is too hot. If you overheat, find a cool location to rest and cool down. If you experience a persistent fever, mental/mood problems, a headache, or dizziness, seek medical attention right away.
• Inform your doctor or dentist regarding all of the medicines you consume before undergoing surgery (including prescription, nonprescription and herbal medicines).
• Children might be more susceptible to the Rivotril’s adverse effects, particularly weakening bones, delayed growth, and reduced sweating.  For more information, consult a doctor.
• Older individuals may be more vulnerable to the adverse effects of Rivotril, particularly dizziness. Dizziness increases the probability of a fall in older adults.

When not to use

Not indicated for those who are allergic to Clonazepam.
