However, not many know that honey is not only known worldwide for its taste but also because of the beauty benefits it gives you. There are various different variants of honey, but if I had to choose one- it would definitely be New Zealand based Manuka honey. It moisturizes the skin

Beauty companies are known to use honey as the key ingredient for all of their products because it moisturizes the skin well within. This is because of the enzymes present in the honey that help in nourishing the skin and softening it.

To moisturize your skin, take a spoonful of Manuka honey and rub it on your skin and leave it for 15-20 minutes. After this, rinse your face with cold water and get a well-nourished and hydrated face instantly.

Makes your skin glow

Manuka honey is used to brighten the skin and make it glow. So quit using flash while clicking a picture and instead apply some honey on your skin to reflect the sun-kissed glow.

To make a solution for brightening up your skin, take a teaspoon of tomato juice and add a teaspoon of Manuka honey to it. This reduces tan marks, spots, and blemishes and also helps in brightening the skin. Massage it properly on the face for 5 minutes, leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse it off with cold water.

Manuka honey has anti-bacterial properties that soothe skin rashes and gets rid of blemishes. We get rashes when our skin encounters germs and anti-bacterial property of Manuka honey prevents infections. While treating skin rashes or allergens with Manuka honey, you can use it both topically as well as consume it raw to clear up your internal system of allergens.

Makes hair lustrous

Manuka honey contains vitamins and minerals that nourish the hair follicles and boost hair growth while making your mane thick and strong. To make a hair mask, take one tablespoon of cold-pressed coconut oil and one tablespoon of Manuka honey and heat it in a pan. After some time, turn off the heat and allow it to cool down. Now, apply this mixture to your hair and feel the difference after one wash only.

Heals chapped lips

Honey is not only an amazing skin moisturizer but it can also be beneficial for chapped lips. So if you are in the mood to pout but are insecure about your chapped lips then rub some Manuka honey directly to the lips, leave on for a few minutes and wash it off. Voila, you are good to go!

Enliven brittle nails

Honey softens the cuticles and makes them smoother. People swear by Manuka honey and claim it to be a miracle worker that fixes nails. Just rub Manuka honey over each cuticle and leave it on for about 10 minutes before washing it off. You will notice your cuticles getting softer after just a couple of applications.
