It is used to treat various bacterial infections such as pneumonia (respiratory bacterial infection), prostatitis (inflammation of prostate gland), pyelonephritis (inflammation of kidney tubules), cystitis (inflammation of bladder), bronchitis (inflammation of lining of airway passages), etc.
