This medicine is used to treat patients with superficial bacterial eye infections, adnexa infections (eye orbit, conjunctiva, and eyelids), and corneal ulcers (inflammation of a part of the eye).

The side effects of this medication include transient (temporary) irritation, skin rashes, and taste distubances.

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with soft contact lenses.

Yes, this medication is safe to use in children and adults alike.


  1. How many times should I take this medication?

You should apply 1 or 2 drops every 4 hours, whereas in severe cases you can increase it to 2 drops every hour.


  1. Can I use this medication while wearing contact lenses?

You should remove contact lenses and wash your hands properly before use of this medication.


  1. How do I apply this medication to my eyes?

To instill this medication into your eyes, you must tilt your head back while sitting down. This will ensure your eyeball faces straight to make it easy to apply the medication. After applying, roll the eyeball in all directions and close the eye and apply a little pressure over the inside of the eye for 30 seconds.


  1. Can I drive after using this medication?

This medication may cause blurring of vision temporarily after use and so it is best not to engage in tasks that require optical alertness such as driving or operating heavy machinery.

  • The course of this medicine should be completed.
  • Take this medicine at the same time each day.
  • Please immediately contact your doctor in case of any severe adverse effects. 
Bacterial Infections
Avoid dairy products such milk or yogurt while taking this medicine
This medicine is used orally or intravenously. The injectable form is injected into a vein by a medical professional. However, if you are self-injecting or doing it at home, ensure that you follow the correct procedure and take all relevant precautions. The dose is dependent on the age, condition and its severity.
Please store the oral form of this medicine at room temperature (18-25 Celsius). Keep medicine away from children, and excessive light and moisture. Please read the leaflet provided with the medicine for further storage guidance.
This medicine is usually taken twice in a day. One in the morning and then at night.
Most people feel better within 48-72 hours and have minimal to no symptoms by the 7th day.
This medicine is only for use in the ear, avoid contact with the eyes, nose, and mouth. If this happens, rinse it with water.
 This medicine should be used when needed. Consult your healthcare provider before taking this medication.
It is not known whether this medicine passes through breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
Before using this medicine, tell our doctor your medical history, especially of:  allergy to this medicine, allergy to other quinolone antibiotics such as ofloxacin and levofloxacin.
