Precaution:

Patients with hereditary angioedema (swelling of skin) should consult their doctor before taking this medicine, this medicine may cause symptoms of low blood pressure. It is important to monitor kidney function and potassium levels in patients suffering from diabetes, hypoaldosteronism (decreased levels of hormone aldosterone), high-potassium diet, and renal artery stenosis (narrowing of one of the arteries in the kidney).

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with history of hepatic (liver) impairment, severe renal (kidney) impairment, renal artery stenosis (narrowing of renal arteries), severe cardiac insufficiency, aortic or mitral stenosis (narrowing of heart valves), and angioedema. Monitor potassium levels in elderly.

Some patients may experience hypotension (low blood pressure), hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels in the blood). Rarely they may have symptoms like cough, dizziness, or orthostasis (low blood pressure on standing up).

Please consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are allergic to any of the components, have a history of angioedema (swelling of skin) related to ACE inhibitor (category of heart medicine) therapy, or are diabetic and taking aliskiren (a type of blood pressure medicine).

This medicine is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), heart failure, myocardial infarction (Heart attack) with left ventricular failure or left ventricular diastolic failure.

Patients using this medicine may rarely experience syncope (fainting), thrombocytopenia (low levels of platelets), renal (kidney) dysfunction, angioedema (swelling under skin or mucous membrane), dizziness (lightheadedness), and hypotension.
