amiodarone
This medicine is used to treat and prevent heart disorders such as recurrent ventricular fibrillation (heart rhythm problem) and abnormal heart conditions associated with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome ( heart beats abnormally fast).
Contradications
Severe arterial hypotension, cardiovascular collapse and shock, all kinds of conduction delays, bradycardia (decreased heart rate), thyroid disorders, iodine allergy, pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lungs), severe liver parenthetic damage, women of child bearing age.
Side effects
Severe bradycardia (decreased heart rate), headaches, fatigue, nightmares, hallucination and depression, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and constipation, corneal deposits, skin changes, ataxia, tremors, pulmonary changes, arthropathies, marked body weight loss. Hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, corneal microdeposits, raised serum transaminases, acute liver disorders, extrapyrimadal tremor, sleep disorders, photosensitivity, optic neuropathy and neuritis, Stevens Johnsons syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis.

Take this medicine with or without meals.
To avoid GI discomfort, take his medicine with meals.
If you experience dry cough, shortness of breath, irregular heart beat, bleeding, blood in urine, swelling, dark stool, numbness, skin rash.
Regular blood tests, cardiac tests, eye examinations should be done.
Be cautious when rising from lying position.
Wear sunscreen and proper clothes.
Avoid direct sunlight.
