This medicine is indicated in all dermatoses (any disease of skin) which responds to topical corticosteroid therapy. However, it is not suitable for peri-oral dermatitis (facial rash) and rosacea (visible blood vessels in your face; redness).

Contradications

This medicine should not be used on it's own as a monotherapy in primary bacterial infections such as impetigo (skin infection), paroychia (bacterial or fungal nail infection), and erysipelas (bacterial skin infection).

Side effects

Patients using this medication may at times experience burning, itching, irritation, erythema (redness), various other skin reactions, and dryness. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time, consult your doctor immediately.

Expert Advice

  • Hands should be properly washed before use.
  • First clean & dry the affected are and then apply a small portion of medication in a thin layer all over the skin & rub gently.
  • If other creams, lotions or ointments are to be applied on the same area of skin, then leave half an hour b/w applying each one.
  • Don’t bandage, cover or wrap the treated area unless advised.
  • Contact of medication with eyes, nose & mouth should be avoided.
  • Don’t use for more than the prescribed time.
