liraglutide

This medicine is used to control blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetics with a suitable exercise and diet program. It is also prescribed to patients with type 2 Diabetes who are at risk of heart attack or stroke and who have some kind of heart disease or blood vessel disease. Another common use of this medicine is to help obese patients reduce weight along with exercise and a low calorie diet plan.  

Contradications

Patients who have hepatic impairment (liver disorder), renal impairment (kidney disorder), inflammatory bowel disease (stomach disorder), diabetic gastroparesis (slow movement fo food in intestine) or diabetic ketoacidosis (complication of high blood glucose levels) should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

Side effects

Some patients may experience gastro-intestinal disturbances (stomach disturbances), headache, dizziness, low blood glucose levels, toothache, anorexia, fatigue, fever, injection site reaction. If you experience any of these symptoms please consult your doctor.
