This medicine is used to treat minor burns, bacterial infections in wounds, various pyodema (skin disease with pus), and cutaneous ulcers (open skin lesion). It is also used on donor sites and skin grafts. 

Contradications

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to Nitrofurazone. 

Side effects

Patients using this medicine may commonly experience rash, itching, and swelling. These are usually temporary and resolve quickly. But, consult your doctor if any of the side effects persist or if your condition does not improve.

  • Apply it directly over the affected area or place it on gauze that will cover the affected area.
  • Apply a bandage if required. Leave at least for 24 hours.
  • Change dressing frequently or after a long period.
