This medicine is used for the treatment of symptoms of obstructive lung disorders such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Contradications
This medicine is contraindicated for people with diabetes, an overactive thyroid gland, ketoacidosis (inability of body to use sugars adequately), high blood pressure, coronary insufficiency (diminished blood flow through arteries of the heart), low supply of oxygen rich blood to the heart, heart rhythm issues, and seizures.
Side effects
Side effects include headache, dizziness, hypertension (increased blood pressure), tachycardia (increased heart rate), chest pain, and irregular heartbeat. In rare circumstances, the medicine may also cause a sudden worsening of breathing problems that require immediate medical intervention. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare.
