This medication is used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate) in men .

Contradications

This medicine should be avoided in postural hypotension (low blood pressure while standing up), hepatic
impairment (liver failure) and patients awaiting cataract (cloudy eye) and glaucoma (pressure in the eye )
surgery.

Side effects

Drowsiness, dizziness, GIT disturbance, hypotension ( low blood pressure ), blurred vision, impotency.
Hypersensitivity reactions ( allergic reactions), rhinitis and intraoperative floppy iris syndrome, syncope (
passing out ), asthenia ( lack of energy), headache, depression, dry mouth, tachycardia and palpitations.
