Low doses of this drug are indicated in mild mental and emotional states, nausea and vomiting. High doses are indicated in schizophrenia and psychosis.

Contradications

This drug should not be given in comatose states, bone marrow depression, liver damage, blood disorders, and uncontrolled cardiac failure.

Side effects

This drug can cause decreased WBC's, decreased platelets, increased prolactin hormone, muscle tone and movement abnormalities, Parkinsonism, drowsiness, insomnia, increased heart rate, decreased blood pressure, redness, dry mouth, blurred vision, loss of appetite, depression, rash, photosensitivity, convulsions, blood disorders, agitation, mental dullness, and dizziness.
