Collecting blood from a vein is a very easy procedure and pose only minimum risk, including:

                            Normal fasting glucose range: 70-100 mg/dL
- Interpretation of test results:
 
Pre-diabetes: If the fasting blood sugar levels are found between 100-126 mg/dL, it indicates pre-diabetes
Diabetes: If the fasting blood sugar levels are found to be above 126 mg/dL, it indicates diabetes.
