- What is culture and sensitivity?
Culture is a laboratory test to find pathogen in the sample and sensitivity is a test to check what medicine will work best for the identified pathogen.
Positive or negative
- Interpretation of test results:
Positive: Causative organism is identified and antibiotic sensitivity is performed for use of correct antibiotic.
Negative: There is no growth of microorganism on culture.
