Avoid this medication if:
Consult your doctor if:
Take the medicine an hour before meals (on an empty stomach), in the dosage prescribed. Try to take it on the same time every day, regularly.
Avoid performing a task that requires alertness, such as driving etc. Also avoid foods with a lot of potassium such as bananas and broccoli.
Inform your doctor if your lips, face, tongue or throat becomes swollen. Also inform your doctor right away if you notice any of the rare side effects (liver problems, kidney problems,
Before any surgical or dental procedure, inform the doctor/dentist that you are taking this medicine.
Be careful about sudden changes in position, and try to get up slowly when lying down. This may cause dizziness.
This medicine is used to treat mild to moderate hypertension (high blood pressure) as an adjunct to thiazide diuretics.
The use of this medicine is associated with side effects such as neutropenia (low levels of white blood cells), hypotension (low blood pressure), rash or loss of taste.

Precautions
It is suggested to use with caution in patients with kidney impairment and collagen vascular disease (connective tissue disease).
This medicine is not recommended to be used in patients with aortic stenosis (narrowing of aortic valve) and kidney impairment.
Will this drug cause bleeding, or thinning of the blood?
This drug will not change bleeding tendency, or cause bleeding.
Will this drug cause changes in mood, body temperature, or energy?
Tiredness, and cold hands and feet are possible side effects of this drug.
Will this drug cause dizziness or headaches?
Headaches and dizziness are common and possible side effects of this medicine. To prevent dizziness, try to avoid getting up abruptly when you are lying down, or any other sudden movements. Avoid activities that require alertness such as driving etc.
Can I stop taking this medicine once my blood pressure is normal?
This medicine should not be stopped unless your doctor recommends it, and it should not be stopped abruptly. Kindly follow the instructions of your physician regarding how and when to stop taking this drug.
