Description

Adrance is an antidiabetic medicine containing Empagliflozin. This medicine, in combination with an appropriate diet and exercise, is used for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus (a condition characterized by elevated sugar levels). It is often combined with other medicines to improve efficacy and bring about the desired results. Empagliflozin is mostly available in oral form. It is not indicated for type 1 diabetes.

Directions For Use

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water.
Take this medicine with or without food.
Swallow it as a whole, do not crush or chew the medicine.
Take it at the same time every day to help you remember.
Or use it exactly as instructed by your doctor.

Please keep this medicine at room temperature, away from sunlight and water, and out of the reach of children and pets.

Safety Information/Precautions

Before using this medicine, inform your doctor about your complete medical history, especially
about heart disease and kidney disease.
Please monitor kidney function during the use of this medicine.
Please discontinue use for 48 hours before and after surgery.

Do not discontinue this medicine without informing your doctor.
Inform your doctor about all your current medicines and significant past medical history.

 Inform your doctor if you are undergoing any surgery.

Do not use this medicine if you’re allergic to any of its constituents.
This medicine is not recommended for children.
Patients with diabetic ketoacidosis (metabolic disorder).
Patients in the pre-coma state.
Severe kidney or liver impairment
Heart or breathing disorders.
Patients consuming large amounts of alcohol.

Patients using this medicine may experience:
 gastrointestinal and taste disturbances
 abnormal liver function
 skin reactions
 hepatitis (liver infection)
 reduced Vitamin B-12 absorption
 Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (severe allergic reaction to medicines)
 hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels)
 headache
 upper respiratory tract infections
 facial swelling
 flatulence.
