Side Effects

The patient taking this medication may experience local irritation, pruritus (localized or generalized itching), metallic taste, nausea and numbness of the extremities.

This medication is contraindicated in nursing females.

Precautions

Patients taking this medication must be cautious and avoid contact with eyes. The patient must also be cautious in cases of severe hepatic (liver) damage, dyshematopoiesis (abnormal formation of red blood cells), and CNS (Central nervous system) disorders.

Indications:

This medication is used for the treatment of amoebic infections, acute ulcerative gingivitis, liver abscess, and for certain asymptomatic infections.

This medicine is mostly used orally or intravenously. The intravenous form is injected into a vein by a medical professional. However, if you are self-injecting or doing it at home, make sure you follow the correct procedure and take all necessary precautions. The dosage is dependent on the age, condition and its severity. Please consult a doctor before using this medicine.

Storage:
