This medicine is used in congestive heart faliure and for all stages of hypertension (high blood pressure) where standard therapy is uneffective.

The use of this medicine is associated with side effects such as neutropenia (low levels of white blood cells), hypotension (low blood pressure), rash or loss of taste, chest pain, angina, Gi upset, blurred vision, dyspnoea (shortness of breath). Withdraw if jaundice occurs. 

This medicine is not recommended to be used in patients with aortic stenosis (narrowing of aortic valve) and kidney impairment, angioedema (swelling in deep layers of skin).

This medicine should be taken with food.

Take this medicine 1 hour before or 2 hours after meal. 

Don't crush/chew tablets.

Change position slowly.

Take ample amount of liquids to prevent dehydration.

Hypertension
Kindly consult your doctor before taking these medicines together. They may enhance the effect of this drug.
Weight changes are a possible side effect of taking this medicine. Kindly consult your doctor if this occurs
Headaches and dizziness are common and possible side effects of this medicine. To prevent dizziness, try to avoid getting up abruptly when you are lying down, or any other sudden movements. Avoid activities that require alertness such as driving etc.
This medicine should not be stopped unless your doctor recommends it, and it should not be stopped abruptly. Kindly follow the instructions of your physician regarding how and when to stop taking this drug.
This medicine is contraindicated in pregnant females.
The effect is undetermined in lactating females, therefore; consult your doctor for further advice.
Please avoid driving when taking this medicine as it may affect your ability to drive.
Please avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine.
It is not suggested to be used in patients who are undergoing hemodialysis, renovascular hypertension (hypertension due to kidneys) and severe congestive heart failure, renal (kidney) or hepatic (liver) impairment, vascular disease and diabetes.
