Humulin 30/70 is a pancreatic insulin equivalent for the treatment of Insulin-dependent diabetes Mellitus. It is a combination of intermediate-acting and short-acting type of insulin. Insulin helps in controlling the blood sugar in diabetic patients.
Part of the treatment of Insulin-dependent Diabetes Mellitus in adults and children along with proper exercise, strict diet, and weight reduction.

Humulin 30/70 is effective for the treatment of Insulin dependent Diabetes Mellitus in adults and children along with proper exercise, strict diet, and weight reduction.
Store Humulin 30/70 in a refrigerator between 2 to 8 °C, away from direct light and heat. Do not freeze the insulin. Use the opened vial within 28 days.
Discard the medicine properly if expired or no longer in use. Discard the opened vials after 28 days. Do not flush the medicine down the toilet until instructed otherwise.
Can Thiazolidinedione be used in combination with Insulin?
Avoid using Thiazolidinedione with Insulin, it may increase the risk of oedema and cardiac diseases.
Can I take Insulin without food?
No, do not take Insulin without food. It may decrease your blood sugar levels.
Why should I change the injection sites frequently?
You should change the injection sites frequently to avoid the development of hard lumps on the injection site.
Which site is preferable for Humulin 30/70?
Injection below the skin of abdomen results in faster absorption than other injection sites.
What are the symptoms of overdose of Humulin 30/70?
Pregnancy
During pregnancy, Humulin is safe to use in prescribed dosage. Insulin requirements decrease in the first trimester and increase in the second and third trimesters.
Lactation
Humulin is safe to use in nursing females if prescribed.
Driving
Humulin may cause inability to concentrate with hypoglycemia, avoid driving until you know how this medicine affects you.
Liver
Humulin should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Kidney
Humulin should be used with caution in patients with kidney diseases. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Alcohol
Do not consume alcohol when using Humulin 30/70. It may decrease your blood sugar to critical levels.
Precautions
Before using this medicine, inform your doctor about your complete medical history, especially of infectious diseases, colds, boils, acromegaly, Cushing’s syndrome, hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma, kidney, and liver impairment.
