  • Take at least 2 hours before or after aluminium, calcium or magnesium containing antacids, didanosine chewable buffered tablets or oral solution prepared from powder, multivitamins that contain iron, zinc or sucralfate.

  • Discontinue medicine or inform your doctor if there’s tendon pain or inflammation or abnormal changes in motor or sensory function or rash.

  • Inform your doctor if diarrhea remains even after 2 months of stopping therapy.

  • Inform your doctor if there are changes in vision, convulsions, drowsiness, hallucinations, psychosis and seizures.

  • Take plenty of fluids during therapy unless restricted by your doctor.

  • Complete full course of therapy even if you feel better.

  • Limit the amount of caffeine in take.

  • Avoid sunlight.

Primary Uses

Indications

It is indicated in urinary tract infections and gastro-intestinal infections (infection of stomach and intestine).

 

 

Side Effects

Gastrointestinal disturbances, Central Nervous System and visual disturbances, skin rashes, blood dyscrasias (disorder of blood), convulsions, photosensitivity (sensitivity to light), intracranial hypertension (high blood pressure in the brain) etc. are some of its side effects.
