Procaterol is a member of the bronchodilator class of medicines and is beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. Procaterol should not be used in pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Pregnant females should consult their doctors before using Procaterol.

Depending on the clinical state, continuous supervision of levels of thyroid hormone, appropriate dose changes, or substitution with an appropriate replacement may be needed.
Procaterol should be used with caution in patients having diabetes mellitus and Hypertension.
Procaterol is contraindicated in people who have a known history of allergy to Procaterol or other any components present in this medicine.
What is the mechanism of action of Procaterol?
Procaterol is a long-acting agonist for beta-2 adrenergic receptors. It is a strong bronchodilator that can also be taken orally. The stimulation of beta- 2 receptors in the lung produces smooth muscle relaxation of bronchi, bronchodilation, and enhanced bronchial outflow.

Oral procaterol stays effective for around 5 hours.
Can I quit using Procaterol abruptly, or will I have to wean myself off gradually?
