Flavoxate is recommended in those patients with urinary urgency, increased frequency of urination, and urinary incontinence (patients don't have control over their urination and pass urine involuntarily).
Patients using Flavoxate may at times experience headaches, nausea, and fatigue. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time, consult your doctor immediately.
Flavoxate is not recommended in patients with obstruction in their GI (gastro-intestinal) tract and urinary tract.

Avoid performing a task that requires alertness, such as driving etc. This medicine causes drowsiness.
Inform your doctor if you have a heart problem, eye condition (such as glaucoma), Kidney diseases, Myasthenia Gravis, enlarged prostate, hyperthyroidism, chronic constipation, overactive thyroid.
Before any surgical or dental procedure, inform the doctor/dentist that you are taking this medicine.
Be careful about dryness of the mouth and eyes. This can be relieved to some extent by chewing gum and staying hydrated.
