Xurox 125mg tablet 1x10's

Brand: Siza
generic
Xurox 125mg tablet is composed of Cefuroxime (125mg)

Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic, used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, joints, bone, bladder, kidneys and lungs. Cefuroxime also treats sepsis, gonorrhea and the early stages of Lyme disease. To avoid infection, Cefuroxime injection is sometimes also administered before and after surgery. Cefuroxime acts by preventing bacterial growth. It only addresses bacterial infections. It is ineffective against virus infection (such as flu, common cold).

Introduction

How To Use

  • Cefuroxime oral is administered orally.
  • Swallow the pill whole, without crushing, chewing, or breaking it.
  • Cefuroxime can be taken with or without food.
  • Take no more than the recommended dose. Take this medicine at the same time every day
  • Cefuroxime injection is injected into a muscle or vein by your doctor in the hospital for 5 to 10 days.

Expert Advice

  • You may get diarrhea or stomach discomfort while taking Cefuroxime, but this should subside soon after the course is over. Consult your doctor if the diarrhea worsens.
  • Take all of the medicine prescribed by your doctor even if you begin to feel better. Stopping it too soon may lead the bacteria to acquire resistance, making the infection more difficult to cure.
  • Keep Cefuroxime in its original container, properly closed, and out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Keep Cefuroxime tablets at room temperature and away from sources of extreme moisture and heat.

FAQS

How does Cefuroxime work?

Cefuroxime is a type of antibiotic known as a cephalosporin. It eliminates bacteria by stopping them from producing their own defensive layer.

How long does it take for Cefuroxime to take effect?

Cefuroxime starts fighting the infection in your body immediately. You should begin to feel better after two days, but keep taking the entire term of your prescription even if you believe you no longer require it.

Is it possible for Cefuroxime to make you drowsy?

Drowsiness is a possible adverse effect of Cefuroxime, but it does not occur frequently. It is common to feel weary or exhausted after an infection, but consult your doctor if this persists for more than a few days of using Cefuroxime.

What should be done if a dose is missed?

Forms taken orally: Try not to miss a scheduled Cefuroxime dose. If you forget to take your medication on time, take it immediately when you remember. If it has been postponed for over 12 hours, skip the missing dose and resume your regular dosing schedule. Do not increase the dose. Injectable forms: It is critical to administer Cefuroxime injection at the stated time. If you forget to take a dose, call your doctor and schedule a consultation for more instructions.
