Direction For Use
-Turn on the meter by pressing the on/off button.
-Press the M button to set the date format.
-Press set button to save this setting.
-Press the M button to set the desired time format.
-Choose the coagulation unit.
-Set the beep tone.
-Set the therapeutic range of INR.
-The meter will now enter the test mode.
-Enter the testing strip in the strip slot.
-Place a drop of blood on the designated location of the testing strip.
-Wait for a few seconds.
-Your test result will appear on the screen within 20 seconds to 1 minute.
-Take the used strip out of the slot.
-Turn the device off by pressing the on/off button.

The recommended test frequency is at least twice per month and preferably once per week.
2. Does the user have to run the test immediately after taking the strip out of the vial?
The open vial stability is 10 minutes maximum. Having the strip out of the vial for too long will interfere with the test result.
3. Does the coaguchek XS system needs calibration?
No, calibration is performed automatically upon inserting the code key from the strip vial.
