5. What are the risks of this test?

Collecting blood from a vein is a very easy procedure and pose only minimum risk, including:

• Bruising
• Bleeding
• Infection
• Lightheadedness

• Normal random glucose range: Less than 140 mg/dL
• Interpretation of test results:
• Pre-diabetes: If the random blood sugar levels are found between 140 and 199 mg/dL, it indicates pre-diabetes
• Diabetes: If the random blood sugar levels are found to be above 200 mg/dL, it indicates diabetes.
