Herbesser 180mg capsule is composed of Diltiazem (180mg)

Diltiazem is an antianginal and antihypertensive medicine that belongs to the class of calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the blood vessels to allow easy flow of blood and reduced heart rate. Hypertension is a common disease in which the blood pressure in arteries is so high that your heart has to work more than normal. Continuous high blood pressure will eventually cause serious health problems like heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. Diltiazem along with treating mild to moderate hypertension also treats and prevents angina (chest pain).

  • Take the tablets by mouth with a glass of water.
  • Swallow it as a whole, do not crush or chew the medicine.
  • Ask your doctor for consumption with or without food.
  • Take it at the same time to help you remember.

Patients who have sick sinus syndrome (disorder of pacemaker in heart), 2nd or 3rd degree AV block (heart disorder), uncontrolled cardiac failure (heart isn’t able to pump adequate blood in body), left ventricular failure following myocardial infarction (heart disorder), and marked bradycardia (slow heart rhythm) , should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.


What are the indications?

This medication is used for lowering blood pressure in hypertensive (increased blood pressure) patients. Lowering of blood pressure lessens the probability of heart attacks and kidney dysfunctions. It is also used for the treatment of angina.

How to store this medicine?

Please store the tablet form of this medicine at room temperature (24-25 Celsius). Keep medicine away from excessive light and moisture. Please keep it away from children.

This medicine may make you dizzy so it is advised not to do any tasks that require alertness (e.g. driving) immediately after taking this medicine
