Indications:
This medication is used in urinary outflow obstruction and symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostrate enlargement). Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Pregnancy:
No definite data regarding pregnancy is available, therefore; be cautious. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
Lactation:
This medication is contraindicated in lactating females.
Contraindications:
History of postural hypotension (low blood pressure), and micturition syncope (fainting after urination, chronic UTI or bladder stones, severe liver impairment. Severe oesophagel or GI obstruction.
Precautions:
Hypertension (high blood pressure, monitor BP regurarly, pulmonary edema (excess fluid in the lungs), high output cardiac failure (heart failure), right sided heart failure due to pulmonary embolism (blockage in pulmonary arteries), left ventricular heart failure, liver impairment, cataract surgery (surgery of eye lens), risk of priapism (prolonged erection) seek immediate medical assistance.

postural effects, dizziness, vertigo (fainting), asthaenia (physical weakness), odedema (fluid retention in body), nausea, rhinitis (swelling of mucosal membrane of nose), somnolence (sleepiness), palpitation, tachycardia (high heart rate ), anxiety, insomnia (inability to sleep), nervousness, parasthesia (abnormal sensation of skin), hypotension (low blood pressure), cough, dyspnoea (diffculty in breathing), GI upset, anorexia (loss of appetite for food), dry mouth, pruritis (unpleasant sensation of skin), back pain, UTI, flu like symptoms.
