INDICATIONS
Primary prevention of Coronary heart disease in men between 40-55 years of age, with hyperlipidemias (blood has lipids) unresponsive to diet.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Liver dysfunction, gallstones, alcoholism, severe kidney impairment. Consult your doctor before.
SIDE EFFECTS
GI upset, skin rashes, impotence, headache, dizziness, painful extremities, myalgia (pain in muscles), blurred vision, eczema, vertigo, fatigue. Myopathy (myopathy), Rhabdomyolysis (damaged skeletal muscles), cholelithiasis (formation of gallstones). Consult your doctor before.

This medication is not recommended in lactating females.

What are the uses of Gemfibrozil?
This medication is used for decreasing levels of ‘bad’ cholesterol such as Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL) and Very Low Density Lipoproteins (VLDL) and increasing level of ‘good’ cholesterol such as High Density Lipoprotein (HDL). This medicine is used in combination with a healthy low fat diet.
How to store Gemfibrozil?
Please store this medicine at room temperature (20-25 Celsius). Keep medicine away from excessive light, moisture, and children. Please do not flush medicines down the toilet. Please read the leaflet provided with the medicine for further storage guidance.
