Precaution:

The patients with epilepsy (disorder characterized by seizures), Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (prostate enlargement), severe hypertension (high blood pressure), renal (kidney) and hepatic (liver) impairment, breathing disorders, asthmatic symptoms, and thyrotoxicosis (thyroid gland disorder), and elderly should use this medicine cautiously.

Serious skin reactions may also occur with the use of this medication. Patients should be warned of the symptoms of such reactions and advised to discontinue the medication immediately if they appear. Patients with hypersensitivity or allergy to this medication should also be cautioned against its use. Patients should also inform their doctor of their complete medical history, especially any history of liver problems or alcohol abuse or if they have diabetes or any condition that requires them to avoid sugar. This medication is used for treating allergic reactions such as hay fever, runny nose, pruritus (severely itchy patches), urticaria (round, itch welts), itching dermatoses (itchy patches), common cold, etc. It is also used as adjuvant in the treatment of eczema (a condition causing itchy and red skin), dermatitis (skin irritation), and drug eruptions.
