Fever
Description
Fever is a temporary increase in the body temperature that is higher than normal. The normal body temperature is usually around 98.6 F (37°C).Fever is not a disease, it’s a sign that your body is trying to fight an illness or infection, basically something out of the ordinary is going on inside your body. Most of the bacteria/viruses do well when your body is at normal temperature, but with fever it gets harder for them to survive. Temperature that is 99 degree Fahrenheit or higher is considered as fever.
Fever may be uncomfortable but usually isn’t a cause of concern for adults until the temperature reaches 103 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

There are several types of thermometers which includes oral, rectal, ear and forehead thermometers.
Forehead and Ear thermometers are convenient, provide less accurate temperature measurements. Oral and rectal give the most accurate measurement of body temperature.
